Criminal Steals From Sick Kids or "How Low Can You Go? Wow, That Low?! Really??"

Sometime on Thursday, December 9th, 2010, an un-identified man broke into the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina and stole several PS3's and other gaming systems used by the young cancer patients that seek treatment at the facility. The Charlotte PD are currently looking this man or any info on his whereabouts. No employees or patients were in the building at the time, so no one was hurt.

Unless you count the poor kids who are the real victims here. It takes a superhuman degree of not giving a goddamn to EVEN think about committing such an act. However, there is a silver lining to this dark cloud.

EA Games & Microsoft, upon hearing about the theft, got in contact with the administrators of the Carolinas Medical Center. the two video gaming giants are stepping up and replacing the stolen systems and games so the kids have something that will take their minds off their illness, if even for a short while.

This act of douche baggery should...no, MUST be met with an equally inhumane punishment. I'd suggest plucking every hair off his body (even the short and curlies) one by one, but that would be letting him off easy. Honestly, I would very much like to start ranting about how I would very much like to punish this callow individual. BUT, I take a deep breath, count to ten and remember that Karma is a bitch.

"Doctor Who" Theme Music Now Has Lyrics or "Crazy Scot Accomplishes The Impossible"

Guess who put words to the "Doctor Who" theme music?? Craig Ferguson, host of "The Late, Late Show" and noted crazy person, that's who!

I mean to say that only someone with the mad brilliance of the man who dances like a lunatic when the horse Secretariat saunters through the door could put lyrics to one of the most beloved pieces of sci-fi music in history.... and make it work. I cannot believe I missed this when it first came out on the Internets!

This is what I get for not paying attention when I should.

'Batman - Dead End' Director Makes New Feature Film or "Yessir, I Like It"

If you are any kind of comic geek or film fanboy/girl, you have heard of Sandy Collora. A man who has made his bones in the film industry by working alongside FX legends Stan Winston and Rick Baker, Collora wrote and directed the fan-film "Batman - Dead End" back in 2003. He used this work as a springboard to get directing work in Hollywood.

        Guess what? It worked.

Collora has since gone off into the Hollywood hills and come back with his first full length film, "Hunter Prey". And if the above trailer is any indication, he definitely has the chops to go on to bigger and better things. Maybe even a 'Superman/Batman" film?!

Oh. Wait a sec. He did that already.

'Transformers 3' Teaser Poster Released or "A Nice Poster Does Not A Good Film Make"

The teaser poster for the forthcoming 3rd Transformers film has been released to little or no fanfare. It's actually a very good teaser poster, with Optimus Prime being back lit by the sun while standing in a heroic pose. I might even be excited for this movie if not for one little detail.

       The title.

For those that don't know, the third chapter in the 'Bay-former' saga is saddled with the title "Transformers 3 - The Dark of the Moon". If this is the best that screenwriter Ehren Krueger can come up with, I am really scared. Krueger wrote the scripts for "Arlington Road" and "Scream 3", two films that I have a lot of love for. Though those are not the best films I have ever seen, the plots of both films were really strong and provided some solid entertainment. Based on the title alone, I wonder how much he got paid to write this. And how hard did he work on the title before he started on the script.

I know, I know. I am reading WAY too much into this. All I have is a teaser poster and a movie title. I should wait for the teaser trailer. Which is to be released next week in front of "TRON Legacy".

..... I am really scared now.
